Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account details: name, email address, phone number and a password (stored only as a one-way hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
• Orders and requests: what you ordered or asked to print, notes, delivery or pickup choices, saved addresses, messages with shops, reviews, and order and payment status.
• Files you upload: documents and images you send to be printed. They may contain personal information; we treat them as confidential.
• Location: only if you allow it, for example to find nearby shops for a “Print now” request. Shops that pin their location publish it on the public map.
• Provider details: for shops, business name, address, contact details and verification documents.
• Technical data: IP address and device/browser information in server logs, used for security and to prevent abuse.
• Messages to us: what you write in the contact form.

Why we use it

• To create your account, run orders and requests, and let you and the shop communicate.
• To take payments, issue refunds, and pay shops out.
• To send service emails and notifications, such as order updates and password resets.
• To keep the platform safe: preventing fraud, abuse and unauthorized access, and resolving disputes.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, and to improve the service.

Our legal bases are your consent, performing the contract with you, our legitimate interests in running a safe marketplace, and legal obligations.

Who we share it with

• The printing shop you choose, which sees what it needs to fulfil your order: your name, contact, files, notes and address or pickup details.
• Payment provider (PayMongo), which processes payments. We do not store your card or e-wallet credentials.
• Service providers that host the site, send email and store files, under confidentiality obligations.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

We keep account and order records while your account is active and as long as needed for tax, accounting and dispute purposes. Uploaded print files are removed automatically after the retention period for completed orders. Server logs are kept for a short period. You can ask us to delete your account and data, subject to records we must legally keep.

How we protect it

Access is limited by role, the database enforces who may see which rows, passwords are hashed, traffic is encrypted, and uploaded files are stored privately and shared by short-lived links. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affecting you occurs, we will notify you and the National Privacy Commission as the law requires.

Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act you may: be informed about how your data is used; access it; object to processing; correct it; ask for it to be erased or blocked; receive a copy in a portable format; withdraw consent; claim damages for misuse; and file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph). To use these rights, contact us and choose “Privacy or my personal data”. We may need to confirm it is you first.

Children

PrintDocx is not intended for anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us personal data, contact us and we will remove it.

We may update this policy and will change the date above. Significant changes will be announced on the site or by email.
